Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.
Applications are now open and may shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the following requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house having a combined gross home earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house money does not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and need not submit any nsfas login evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the proper Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected of their South more info African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are studying or intend to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
